Biography

The only thing more important than my love of medicine is my love of my family. Outside of work, you can find me out and about in Kansas City with my wife, two children and rescue dog.

Care Philosophy

While pursuing my undergraduate degree in organismal biology at the University of Kansas, I was a wide receiver on the Kansas Jayhawks football team. This experience helped give me special insight and compassion for sports-related injuries. My approach to patient care is somewhat like what was instilled in me in playing football and other sports. I see my relationship with my patients as a team effort. My goal is that we make decisions together based on what they need and want from the care I provide.

Area of Interest

Beyond general orthopedics, I have specialty training in shoulder and elbow surgery, as well as all other complex upper extremity issues. This include anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty, reverse total shoulder arthroplasty, total elbow arthroplasty, and other complex open and arthroscopic shoulder procedures.
